Collection 12206 (herbarium acc. no. C-F-119752) is Hebeloma velatum.

    Collection 12206 was collected by T. Borgen (99.219), det: J. Vesterholt on 5th August 1999 in Zackenberg, just N of Gadekæret, N, GREENLAND (approx. 74.5°N, 21°W, altitude approximately 20 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Rosaceae (genus Dryas), Cyperaceae (genus Kobresia) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra solifluction lobe with a substrate of mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: up to 16 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters not recorded; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous not recorded; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre greyish brown; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil yes.

    Lamellae: attachment adnate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae not recorded; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 21 x 4 {median} x 4 {basal} mm; stipe Q not recorded; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting yes; mycelial chords not recorded.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure not recorded; smell raphanoid; taste mild, raphanoid weakly.
