Collection 10964 was collected by H. Knudsen (), det: J. Vesterholt on 20th August 1988 in Longyearbyen nr church, SVALBARD (78.2222°N, 15.6058°E, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
