    Collection 18863 was collected by N. Siegel (3515) on 6th January 2019 in Los Osos Oaks Reserve, San Luis Obispo County, California, UNITED STATES (approx. 35.3029°N, 120.8162°W, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

    Stipe: 65–81 x 7–9 {median} x 9–10 {basal} mm; stipe Q 9.0–9.3; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, floccose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 13.1; smell none; taste bitter weakly.
