    Collection 17218 was collected by E. Grilli (141003.05) on 3rd October 2014 in Valle dello Scaricaturo, Palena (CH), Abruzzo, ITALY (approx. 41.9207°N, 14.1359°E, altitude approximately 1270 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Picea) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous woodland with a substrate of boggy soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
