    Collection 16527 was collected by E. Grilli (061014.04) on 22nd September 2006 in Valle di Chiarano, area between “stazzo Prati” and “stazzo lago di Pantaniello”, Mt. Pratello, Scanno , Abruzzo, ITALY (41.8406°N, 13.9797°E, altitude approximately 1750 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Cistaceae (genus Helianthemum) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as pastureland with a substrate of calcareous, grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
