Collection 13117 (herbarium acc. no. KRAM F-47177) is Hebeloma discomorbidum.

Collecting details

Collection 13117 was collected by A. Ronikier, M. Ronikier on 19th August 2006 in Tatra Mts, Belanske Tatra Mts., Between Hlupy massif and Zadne Jatky massif, Western Carpathians, SLOVAKIA (49.2389°N, 20.2278°E, altitude approximately 2000 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as alpine meadow with a substrate of mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Macroscopic description
Cortina present: yes.
Pileus: up to 14 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters involute, smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre orange-brown, brick, clay-buff, cinnamon; and colour at margin pale cream; with remains of universal veil yes.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 44; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.
Stipe: 45 x 3 {median} x 3 {basal} mm; stipe Q 15.0; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 48.2; smell raphanoid weakly; taste raphanoid weakly.
Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.
Exsiccata: normal.

Microscopic description
Spores: shape amygdaloid, ovoid; colour through microscope brown yellow; guttulate yes; papillate weak; Spore Code: O2; P1; D3.
Basidia: 30.0–34.7 x 8.1–9.0 μm; ave. Q = 3.8; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape lageniform, ventricose; special features median thickening; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.03; A/B = 0.66; B/M = 1.57.
Pleurocystidia: no.
Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 60 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 7 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation no; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis thinly sausage-shaped up to 10 μm wide.
Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 100 μm.
