Collection 1000535 (herbarium acc. no. NYS-F-001019.1) is the lectotype of Hebeloma discomorbidum.

    Collection 1000535 was collected by C.H. Peck in September 1872 in Lewis County and Columbia County, Croghan and Copake, New York, UNITED STATES (approx. 43.8959°N, 75.3924°W, altitude approximately 250 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as woodland with a substrate of soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Stipe: 50–75 x 2–5 {median} x 2–5 {basal} mm; stipe Q 15.0–20.0; base cylindrical; floccosity floccose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base not recorded; slenderness measure 34.8; smell not recorded; taste not recorded.
