Collection 1000470 was collected by A.H. Smith (88315) on 12th October 1977 in Stinchfield Woods, NW of Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan, UNITED STATES (approx. 42.4028°N, 83.9247°W, altitude approximately 300 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Picea) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

Lamellae: attachment adnate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 40; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.
Stipe: 30–60 x 3–7 {median} x 3–7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 8.6–10.0; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 10.1; smell not recorded; taste not recorded.
