    Collection 17838 was collected by H.J. Beker, L. Davies on 1st August 2018 in Inn at aspen, Pitkin County, Colorado, UNITED STATES (39.2063°N, 106.8593°W, altitude approximately 2355 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Picea) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as subalpine lawn with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 25–26 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre yellowish brown, umber; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 64; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 22–23 x 13 {median} x 11–12 {basal} mm; stipe Q 1.7–1.8; base cylindrical, tapering; floccosity floccose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 1.5; smell none; taste not recorded.
