Collection 1000345 (herbarium acc. no. MICH 10739) is Hebeloma eburneum. It is the holotype of heterotypic synonym Hebeloma coniferarum A.H. Sm., V.S. Evenson & Mitchel (1983).

    Collection 1000345 was collected by A.H. Smith (86924) on 23rd July 1976 in Pitkin Co., Independence Pass area, Colorado, UNITED STATES (approx. 39.1089°N, 106.5639°W, altitude approximately 3700 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, subalpine woodland with a substrate of decomposed wood, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Lamellae: attachment adnate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 34; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 40 x 4 {median} x 4 {basal} mm; stipe Q 10.0; base cylindrical; floccosity pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 13.3; smell not recorded; taste mild.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape capitate-stipitate, clavate-stipitate; special features apical thickening, median thickening, sinuate; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 2.35; A/B = 2.41; B/M = 1.02.
