    Collection 17718 was collected by C.H. Kauffman (45879) on 10th August 1925 in Forestry Farm, N of Lake, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, UNITED STATES (approx. 42.2766°N, 83.8067°W, altitude approximately 300 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Picea) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as woodland plantation, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
