    Collection 17940 was collected by H.J. Beker, M.L. Beker on 28th August 2018 in Goat Creek Trail, Grassi Lakes, near Canmore, Alberta, CANADA (51.0621°N, 115.4209°W, altitude approximately 1655 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Pinaceae (genera Picea and Pinus) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, subalpine woodland with a substrate of grassy, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 66–72 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters involute, scalloped; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting not recorded; hygrophanous not recorded; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre yellowish brown; and colour at margin pale pinkish buff; with remains of universal veil not recorded.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 6 mm; number of complete lamellae 146; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 49–59 x 20–24 {median} x 25–32 {basal} mm; stipe Q 2.0–3.0; base clavate; floccosity floccose, floccose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords yes.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior basal wick, hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 2.0; smell raphanoid strongly; taste not recorded.
