    Collection 16107 was collected by N. Siegel (1350) on 10th November 2014 in Boise Creek Campground, Willow Creek, California, UNITED STATES (approx. 40.9451°N, 123.6578°W, altitude approximately 290 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Ericaceae (genus Arbutus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 8 mm; number of complete lamellae 88; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 110 x 21 {median} x 40 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.2; base bulbous; floccosity floccose, floccose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 3.7; smell raphanoid; taste mild.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid, limoniform; colour through microscope brown; guttulate yes; papillate very strongly; Spore Code: O4; P3; D3; D4.

    Basidia: 31.8–35.3 x 7.7–9.0 μm; ave. Q = 4.0; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, ventricose; special features septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.64; A/B = 1.56; B/M = 1.12.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 185 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 9 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis cylindrical, ellipsoid up to 16 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 100 μm.
