    Collection 17341 was collected by R.L. Pastorino (RLP-9-12-17E) on 12th September 2017 in Yuba Pass, Tahoe National Forest, Sierra Co., California, UNITED STATES (approx. 39.604°N, 120.5466°W, altitude approximately 2200 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as subalpine woodland with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
