    Collection 16851 was collected by S. Gamiet, L. Davies on 11th August 2017 in Frame Lake, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, CANADA (62.4621°N, 114.3807°W, altitude approximately 190 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Picea) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous woodland with a substrate of mossy soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 18–32 mm diameter; shape umbonate broadly; margin characters involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre yellowish brown; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 6 mm; number of complete lamellae 56; tears visible with x10 lens; white fimbriate edge weak.

    Stipe: 30–55 x 7–8 {median} x 7–15 {basal} mm; stipe Q 3.8–7.3; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity pruinose at apex, velute; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 9.4; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

    Spores: shape amygdaloid; colour through microscope yellow brown; guttulate yes; papillate yes; Spore Code: O2; P0; D1.

    Basidia: 29.5–30.8 x 8.3–9.4 μm; ave. Q = 3.4; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-stipitate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.62; A/B = 1.23; B/M = 1.35.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 160 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 5 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis isodiametric up to 12 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 105 μm.
