    Collection 12195 was collected by T. Borgen (99.258), det: J. Vesterholt on 9th August 1999 in Zackenberg, between West River and Solkæret, N, GREENLAND (approx. 74.5°N, 21°W, altitude approximately 30 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Rosaceae (genus Dryas) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic heathland with a substrate of dry, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
