    Collection 17787 was collected by W. Sturgeon on 16th September 2017 in Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Champion, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania, UNITED STATES (approx. 40.023°N, 79.2977°W, altitude approximately 770 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.
