Collection 1000582 (herbarium acc. no. FLAS-F-22504) is Hebeloma albidulum. It is the holotype of heterotypic synonym Cortinarius fimbriatus Murrill (1945).

Description

    Collection 1000582 was collected by W.A. Murrill on 21st January 1940 in Alachua, Near Gainesville, Old Micanopy Road , Florida, UNITED STATES (approx. 29.5541°N, 82.3243°W, altitude approximately 25 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of soil.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 60; tears not recorded; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 40–60 x 8–13 {median} x 15–21 {basal} mm; stipe Q 4.6–5.0; base bulbous; floccosity floccose at apex, velute; rooting no; mycelial chords not recorded.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 4.0; smell raphanoid; taste mild, raphanoid.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features many collapsed in exsiccata, plaques; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.48; A/B = 1.49; B/M = 1.03.
