    Collection 14706 was collected by R. Lebeuf (HEB0922-1) on 22nd September 2015 in Cosby, Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee, UNITED STATES (approx. 35.8155°N, 83.2478°W, altitude approximately 400 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genera Fagus and Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of soil.

    Pileus: 22–55 mm diameter; shape convex, umbonate weakly; margin characters not recorded; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre cream, pale cream; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment not recorded; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 64; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 32–67 x 6 {median} x 15–18 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.3–11.2; base bulbous; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords yes.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 10.7; smell raphanoid; taste bitter.

    Spore deposit colour: umber.
