    Collection 16998 was collected by L. Davies, H.J. Beker on 14th September 2017 in Washington Ave between 3rd and 4th Street, Bayfield, Wisconsin, UNITED STATES (46.8122°N, 90.8189°W, altitude approximately 215 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Malvaceae (genus Tilia) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as lawn with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
