    Collection 14271 was collected by P.-A. Moreau on 22nd November 2013 in Fango Forest, Corsica, FRANCE (approx. 42.3769°N, 8.7482°E, altitude approximately 200 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 22–38 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre cream, pale cream; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 64; tears absent; white fimbriate edge weak.

    Stipe: 30–32 x 7–8 {median} x 7–8 {basal} mm; stipe Q 3.8–4.6; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base very strongly; slenderness measure 4.8; smell raphanoid weakly; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: yellowish brown.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

    Basidia: 27.9–33.5 x 8.0–8.9 μm; ave. Q = 3.7; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape lageniform, ventricose; special features not recorded; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.15; A/B = 0.51; B/M = 2.28.

    Pleurocystidia: no.
