    Collection 10649 was collected by J. Vesterholt (03-850) on 15th November 2003 in prov. Messina, Castell'Umberto Area Ecologica, Sicily, ITALY (approx. 38.08°N, 14.8°E, altitude approximately 580 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Cistaceae (genus Cistus) and Pinaceae (genus Pinus) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.
