    Collection 12014 was collected by H.J. Beker, M.L. Beker on 16th August 2007 in Ny Alesund, SVALBARD (78.9162°N, 11.9724°E, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra pastureland with a substrate of soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Cortina present: yes.

    Pileus: 23–27 mm diameter; shape papillate; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre dark brick; and colour at margin yellowish brown; with remains of universal veil yes.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 33; tears absent; white fimbriate edge not recorded.

    Stipe: 23 x 3 {median} x 3 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.7; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 7.1; smell cocoa, raphanoid; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.
