    Collection 16754 was collected by A. Kong (3773) on 18th August 2001 in El Ranchito, Chihuahua, MEXICO (approx. 28.3387°N, 105.4076°W, altitude approximately 1150 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as montane, subtropical woodland with a substrate of soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
