    Collection 12447 was collected by C. Cripps, det: H.J. Beker on 6th August 2008 in Beartooth Site 6: Wyoming Creek, Wyoming, UNITED STATES (44.9871°N, 109.411°W, altitude approximately 3175 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as alpine meadow with a substrate of acidic, boggy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 13–23 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous yes; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre clay-buff; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 33; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge not recorded.

    Stipe: 19–40 x 3–5 {median} x 3–5 {basal} mm; stipe Q 4.8–11.0; base cylindrical; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 12.1; smell none; taste not recorded.
