Collection 10580 was collected by H.J. Beker on 12th November 2004 in Pelagallinas, Guadalajara, SPAIN (41.1927°N, 3.25°W, altitude approximately 1370 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Pinus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, Mediterranean woodland with a substrate of acidic, decomposed soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 20–75 mm diameter; shape umbonate weakly; margin characters crenulate; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre umber, yellowish brown, dark pinkish buff; and colour at margin pale cream, cream; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 7 mm; number of complete lamellae 48; tears absent; white fimbriate edge weak.
Stipe: 35–74 x 3–8 {median} x not recorded {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.0–14.0; base cylindrical, tapering; floccosity floccose; rooting yes; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 12.8; smell tea; taste bitter weakly, hot.
Spore deposit colour: umber.
Exsiccata: shiny.
