    Collection 16554 was collected by M. Kranabetter, det: P. Kroeger on 21st August 2008 in Mcdonnell FSR, Smithers, British Columbia, CANADA (approx. 54.7667°N, 127.1667°W, altitude approximately 500 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as boreal with a substrate of soil.

    According to the GPS data the collection was in the Fraser Plateau and Basin conifer forests WWF ecoregion The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) have divided the world into 867 terrestrial ecoregions.
