    Collection 16512 was collected by E. Grilli (161008.07) on 8th December 2016 in Valle Caldora, Rocca di Mezzo , Abruzzo, ITALY (42.2116°N, 13.5302°E, altitude approximately 1320 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Fagus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland with a substrate of soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
