Collection 10309 was collected by B. Levesen, det: H.J. Beker on 12th October 2004 in Carpegna2, Marches, ITALY (43.7803°N, 12.3028°E, altitude approximately 970 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Carpinus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland with a substrate of calcareous, decomposed soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 42–63 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters eroded; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre yellowish brown; and colour at margin pale salmon; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 80; tears absent; white fimbriate edge weak.
Stipe: 33–48 x 9–13 {median} x 12–17 {basal} mm; stipe Q 3.6–4.7; base clavate; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 3.0; smell cocoa, raphanoid; taste raphanoid.
Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.
Exsiccata: normal.
