Collection 17834 (herbarium acc. no. O-F-154650) is Hebeloma alpinum.

    Collection 17834 was collected by K. Kvavik, det: Ø. Weholt on 28th August 1972 in Vadsø, Finnmark, NORWAY (approx. 70.0788°N, 29.7519°E, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Betulaceae (genus Betula) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic meadow with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     According to the GPS data the collection was in the Koppen climate code Dfc (Cold, no dry season, cold summer).
