    Collection 16524 was collected by E. Grilli (060923.04) on 23rd September 2006 in Parco nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise, Club Hotel du Park, Opi , Abruzzo, ITALY (41.7835°N, 13.8418°E, altitude approximately 1090 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous meadow with a substrate of grassy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Stipe: 30–60 x 3–5 {median} x 4–5 {basal} mm; stipe Q 10.0–12.0; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 21.5; smell cocoa, raphanoid strongly; taste raphanoid.
