Collection 14651 was collected by M.L. Beker, H.J. Beker on 23rd August 2015 in Lake Kmo, Wrangel Island, Chukotka, RUSSIAN FEDERATION (71.1579°N, 178.8904°E, altitude approximately 15 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra with a substrate of soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 14–20 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters eroded, smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre sepia; and colour at margin cinnamon; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 4 mm; number of complete lamellae 27; tears absent; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 12–16 x 2–4 {median} x 2–4 {basal} mm; stipe Q 3.0–6.4; base cylindrical; floccosity fibrillose, pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base very strongly; slenderness measure 4.0; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.
