    Collection 14584 was collected by A. Norarevian on 25th October 2014 in Wolf's pond, Staten Island, New York, UNITED STATES (approx. 40.5229°N, 74.1939°W, altitude approximately 5 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland with a substrate of sandy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Stipe: 35 x 7 {median} x 10 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.0; base clavate; floccosity fibrillose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior stuffed; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 5.8; smell sacchariolentia, sweet; taste not recorded.
