    Collection 14280 was collected by not recorded on 22nd November 2013 in Galeria, Corsica, FRANCE (approx. 42.4081°N, 8.6512°E, altitude approximately 70 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Cistaceae (genus Cistus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as maquis, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     According to the GPS data the collection was in the Koppen climate code Csa (Temperate, dry summer, hot summer).

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 76; tears absent; white fimbriate edge not recorded.

    Stipe: 35 x 12 {median} x 17 {basal} mm; stipe Q 2.9; base bulbous; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 2.8; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, cylindrical, lageniform, ventricose; special features geniculate, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.46; A/B = 1.18; B/M = 1.36.
