    Collection 11691 was collected by M.L. Beker, det: H.J. Beker on 8th September 2006 in Foret de Soignes, Brussels, BELGIUM (50.7958°N, 4.4297°E, altitude approximately 115 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Fagus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland with a substrate of calcareous, decomposed soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 28–60 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters involute, sulcate; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting yes; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre umber; and colour at margin pinkish buff, pale pinkish buff; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 54; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 45–67 x 4–7 {median} x 7–14 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.5–15.5; base clavate; floccosity floccose weak; rooting no; mycelial chords yes.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 17.0; smell cocoa, raphanoid; taste bitter strongly.

    Spore deposit colour: umber.
