    Collection 11309 was collected by M. Ghyselinck, det: H.J. Beker on 15th October 2005 in Kwaadmechelen, Limburg, BELGIUM (51.0958°N, 5.1558°E, altitude approximately 40 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Betulaceae (genus Betula) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as mixed woodland with a substrate of acidic, grassy, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 42–45 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre yellowish brown, dark brick; and colour at margin cinnamon; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 64; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 61–70 x 6–8 {median} x 9–12 {basal} mm; stipe Q 8.5–11.7; base clavate; floccosity pruinose at apex; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 15.0; smell raphanoid; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: rich brown color.

    Basidia: 27.8–32.1 x 7.8–8.3 μm; ave. Q = 3.8; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape gently clavate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, ventricose; special features bifurcate, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.47; A/B = 1.54; B/M = 1.01.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 150 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 5 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis ellipsoid, thickly sausage-shaped up to 15 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 90 μm.
