Collection 10554 was collected by H.J. Beker on 9th November 2004 in Pelagallinas, Guadalajara, SPAIN (41.1928°N, 3.0841°W, altitude approximately 1350 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Pinus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, subalpine woodland with a substrate of decomposed litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 25–28 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre dark brick; and colour at margin dark pinkish buff; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 42; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.
Stipe: 27–38 x 3 {median} x 3 {basal} mm; stipe Q 7.7–10.9; base cylindrical; floccosity floccose weak; rooting not recorded; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 11.5; smell aniseed; taste not recorded.
Spore deposit colour: brownish olive, umber.
Exsiccata: dark.

Pleurocystidia: only close to lamella edge.
