Collection 10551 was collected by A. Amman, det: H.J. Beker on 9th November 2004 in Pelagallinas, Guadalajara, SPAIN (41.1928°N, 3.0841°W, altitude approximately 1350 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Pinaceae (genus Pinus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous, subalpine woodland with a substrate of decomposed litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 16–42 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre ochraceous, buff-yellow; and colour at margin pale cream; with remains of universal veil yes.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 5 mm; number of complete lamellae 49; tears absent; white fimbriate edge absent.
Stipe: 46–68 x 5–10 {median} x 8–11 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.7–9.7; base tapering; floccosity not recorded; rooting yes; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow, superior wick; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 15.8; smell none; taste hot.
Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.
Exsiccata: normal.
