Collection 10283 was collected by H.J. Beker on 7th October 2004 in Biron, Namur, BELGIUM (approx. 50.3°N, 5.11°E, altitude approximately 250 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Betulaceae (genus Betula) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as coniferous woodland with a substrate of calcareous, decomposed soil and litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Pileus: 18–32 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous not recorded; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre ochraceous; and colour at margin pale cream; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 67; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.
Stipe: 31–46 x 4–6 {median} x 6–8 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.2–8.3; base clavate; floccosity none; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 10.7; smell raphanoid; taste bitter weakly.
Spore deposit colour: yellowish brown.
