    Collection 10162 was collected by H.J. Beker on 3rd October 2004 in Goutelle, Luxembourg, BELGIUM (50.015°N, 5.2292°E, altitude approximately 400 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Fagus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as mixed woodland with a substrate of decomposed litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: 26–75 mm diameter; shape umbonate broadly; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous not recorded; colour variation two-colour; with colour at centre buff-yellow; and colour at margin warm buff, cream; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 54; tears visible with x10 lens; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 27–53 x 3–8 {median} x 5–9 {basal} mm; stipe Q 5.4–11.3; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 7.9; smell raphanoid; taste bitter.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: analysis not yet complete.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose; special features median thickening, septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.58; A/B = 1.14; B/M = 1.43.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 150 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 5 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis oblong, thickly sausage-shaped up to 15 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 100 μm.
