Collection 16677 (herbarium acc. no. C-F-103541) is Hebeloma nigellum.

    Collection 16677 was collected by T. Borgen (90.073) on 1st September 1990 in Paamiut/Frederikshåb, S, GREENLAND (approx. 62.01°N, 49.4°W, altitude approximately 10 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Salix) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as arctic tundra riverside with a substrate of boggy, eutrophic, mossy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Basidia: 26.1–34.1 x 7.4–9.1 μm; ave. Q = 3.5; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape lageniform, ventricose; special features basal thickening, geniculate; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.04; A/B = 0.65; B/M = 1.65.
