Collection 15843 (herbarium acc. no. CBM-FB-43278) is an isotype of Hebeloma luchuense.

    Collection 15843 was collected by T. Fukiharu (1171) on 3rd January 1983 in Yaeyama-gun, Taketomi-cho, Iriomote Is., Airagawa, plot 12, Okinawa, JAPAN (approx. 24.2722°N, 123.8663°E, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genera Castanopsis and Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as woodland with a substrate of nutrient-enriched, urea-treated soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
