    Collection 15840 was collected by on 3rd January 1983 in Yaeyama-gun, Taketomi-cho, Iriomote Is., Airagawa, Okinawa, JAPAN (approx. 24.2722°N, 123.8663°E, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). No ectomycorrhizal plants were recorded.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.
