    Collection 14262 was collected by S. Biancardini on 21st November 2013 in Soveria, Corsica, FRANCE (approx. 42.3565°N, 9.176°E, altitude approximately 440 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

    Pileus: up to 56 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre yellowish brown; and colour at margin dark pinkish buff; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 7 mm; number of complete lamellae 72; tears visible with x10 lens; white fimbriate edge weak.

    Stipe: 45 x 7 {median} x 7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.4; base clavate, cylindrical; floccosity pruinose at apex, velute; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 5.2; smell fruit, soap; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: dark brick.

    Exsiccata: normal.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape capitate-stipitate, gently clavate, clavate-stipitate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, lageniform, ventricose; special features irregular, geniculate; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.85; A/B = 1.42; B/M = 1.44.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 230 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 6 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis angular, isodiametric, thickly sausage-shaped up to 20 μm wide.

    Caulocystidia: caulocystidia maximum length 100 μm.
