Collection 13085 (herbarium acc. no. TURA 171954) is Hebeloma odoratissimum.

Collecting details

Collection 13085 was collected by E. Campo, det: E. Grilli (050903.01) on 3rd September 2005 in Belluno, Melere, Col di Pera, Veneto, ITALY (46.161°N, 12.1954°E, altitude approximately 725 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Salicaceae (genus Populus) was present.
The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded with a substrate of grassy soil.

Macroscopic description
Cortina present: no.
Pileus: up to 40 mm diameter; shape umbonate; margin characters eroded, involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre yellowish brown; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil no.
Lamellae: attachment adnate, emarginate; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 44; tears absent; white fimbriate edge weak.
Stipe: 48 x 7 {median} x 7 {basal} mm; stipe Q 6.9; base cylindrical; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base weak; slenderness measure 8.2; smell sacchariolentia, sweet; taste not recorded.
Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.
Exsiccata: lamellae blackening.

Spores: shape amygdaloid, limoniform; colour through microscope not recorded; guttulate not recorded; papillate very strongly; Spore Code: O3; O4; P2; P3; D3.
Basidia: 35.4 x 9.4 μm; ave. Q = 3.8; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape clavate, cylindrical; special features septa, short; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 0.98; A/B = 1.20; B/M = 0.83.
Pleurocystidia: no.
