Collection 12396 (herbarium acc. no. TURA 26197F) is Hebeloma syrjense.

    Collection 12396 was collected by K. Kokkonen, J. Vauras on 21st August 2008 in Savukoski Municipality, Ainijärvi, Nature Reserve Ainijärven lehtojensuojelualue, Sompion Lappi, FINLAND (approx. 67.7584°N, 29.4501°E, altitude approximately 345 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula) and Pinaceae (genus Picea) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as boreal woodland with a substrate of boggy soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
