    Collection 12306 was collected by K. Kokkonen, J. Vauras, det: J. Vauras on 30th August 2007 in Koillismaa, Kuusamo Municipality, Oulanka National Park, Ampumavaara, east of Puukkosuo Grid 27degE: 73669:6036, FINLAND (approx. 66.35°N, 29.34°E, altitude approximately 255 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula), Pinaceae (genera Picea and Pinus) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as boreal, mixed fenland riverside with a substrate of boggy, nutrient-enriched soil, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.
