    Collection 12148 was collected by M. Driesen on 26th October 2007 in De rooten, Limburg, BELGIUM (51.0145°N, 5.3521°E, altitude approximately 50 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Betulaceae (genus Betula) and Salicaceae (genus Salix) were present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous slagheap bog with a substrate of litter, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules.     Pileus: up to 20 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters smooth; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting no; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre cream; and colour at margin pale yellow; with remains of universal veil no.

    Lamellae: attachment emarginate; maximum depth up to 3 mm; number of complete lamellae 40; tears absent; white fimbriate edge present.

    Stipe: 35 x 3 {median} x 3 {basal} mm; stipe Q 11.7; base cylindrical; floccosity pruinose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior hollow; stipe flesh discolouring from base yes; slenderness measure 20.4; smell sacchariolentia, sweet; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: brownish olive.

    Exsiccata: normal.

    Basidia: 38.6–47.6 x 10.2–11.7 μm; ave. Q = 3.9; basidia spore nature not recorded.

    Cheilocystidia: main shape balloon-shaped, clavate, cylindrical; special features septa, short; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.20; A/B = 1.35; B/M = 0.94.

    Pleurocystidia: no.
