Collection 11848 (herbarium acc. no. C-F-76210) is Hebeloma theobrominum.

    Collection 11848 was collected by J. Vesterholt (06-1095) on 9th November 2006 in Cala Violina NW of Grosseto, Tuscany, ITALY (approx. 42.83°N, 10.77°E, altitude approximately 15 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal family Fagaceae (genus Quercus) was present.

    The surrounding habitat was described as deciduous woodland, corresponding to the IUCN habitat We map from the collector's description of the habitat to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s definition using a standardised set of rules. Please see this page for a full list of IUCN habitats. 1.4: Forest – Temperate.

    According to the GPS data the collection was in the Koppen climate code Csa (Temperate, dry summer, hot summer).

    Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base not recorded; slenderness measure 7.2; smell not recorded; taste not recorded.

    Spore deposit colour: analysis not yet complete.

    Exsiccata: rich brown color.

    Pleurocystidia: no.

    Ixocutis: epicutis thickness (measured from exsiccata) 100 μm; ixocutis maximum hyphae width 4 μm; ixocutis hyphae encrustation yes; shape of trama elements beneath subcutis isodiametric.
