Collection 11823 (herbarium acc. no. IB19920388) is Hebeloma bulbiferum.

Collecting details

Collection 11823 was collected by M. Moser on 29th October 1992 in Petriolo, Grosseto, Tuscany, ITALY (approx. 43.07°N, 11.28°E, altitude approximately 400 m above sea level - Google maps). The ectomycorrhizal families Salicaceae (genus Populus) and Fagaceae (genus Quercus) were present.
The surrounding habitat was described as not recorded.

Pileus: up to 60 mm diameter; shape convex; margin characters involute; viscosity tacky when moist; spotting not recorded; hygrophanous no; colour variation unicolor; with colour at centre ochraceous; and colour at margin not recorded; with remains of universal veil not recorded.
Lamellae: attachment not recorded; maximum depth not recorded; number of complete lamellae 110; tears visible with naked eye; white fimbriate edge not recorded.
Stipe: 58–65 x 17–26 {median} x 20–30 {basal} mm; stipe Q 2.5–3.4; base bulbous; floccosity floccose; rooting no; mycelial chords no.
Context: texture firm; stipe interior not recorded; stipe flesh discolouring from base no; slenderness measure 3.0; smell not recorded; taste not recorded.

Spores: shape amygdaloid, limoniform; colour through microscope brown; guttulate yes; papillate yes; Spore Code: O3; O4; P1; D4.
Basidia: 36.9–41.4 x 8.9–9.4 μm; ave. Q = 4.3; basidia spore nature not recorded.
Cheilocystidia: main shape capitate-stipitate, gently clavate, clavate-stipitate, clavate-lageniform or clavate-ventricose, spathulate-stipitate; special features clamped septa; Cheilocystidia Ratios: A/M = 1.86; A/B = 1.64; B/M = 1.14.
Pleurocystidia: no.
